Resurrection Is a Mindset
And I'm determined to help you cultivate it

Friend,
Easter weekend was more than just another Sunday. It reminded you that resurrection is always possible.
That includes dreams buried, plans paused, and ideas waiting for the "perfect timing."
In fact, one of the most powerful things you can do this week is hit publish—even if you're not ready. That’s exactly what I did with my podcast ConvoRoom, after sitting on episodes for far too long. I finally let go of my need for polish, and instead chose progress.
Meet Travis Lyles, Deputy Director, social, off-platform curation at The Washington Post. He is a Forbes 30 under 30 honoree, a 6x Webby Award winner, and an all-around standup-guy you are going to enjoy learning from.
I talk about my journey leading up to FINALLY getting this episode published here: 👉🏽 Done Is Better Than Perfect. I think there is so much in here to unpack and hopefully inspire you to get out of draft mode if you find yourself there.
Spoiler: the intro to my latest podcast episode was recorded in the parking lot of my daughter’s hair appointment. That wasn’t Plan A. It was just the only way it was going to happen—and it did. Because showing up in shambles still beats staying stuck in cycles of delay.
But if you're like me, you're not just trying to show up—you’re trying to build something. And that’s where the second blog I dropped last week comes in.
Whether you're starting a YouTube channel, launching a podcast, or just trying to finally put your voice out there, don’t miss this:
What’s the message this week? You don’t need to be flawless. You just need to move.
So, whether you’re recording in a parking lot or hitting upload with shaking hands—this week, do it scared. Do it messy. Do it anyway.
Because you’re not starting from scratch.
You’re starting from resurrection.
If you are reading this far…
I hope this message finds you well. I’m sharing from my heart in hopes that you will be inspired to unearth and live out your God-given purpose. Hopefully, something I said resonated. I would love to hear from you if so. Please feel free to reach out to me on social media. FYI: I’m mostly active on Instagram these days. If you were forwarded this message, you can subscribe here to receive thoughts like this directly in your inbox. And don’t forget to check out the latest episode of my podcast, ConvoRoom with Mark Allen Patterson.
See you next week,
