Quote of the Week
"Let your life speak."
—Parker Palmer
Pivots
I’ve been thinking a lot about pivots lately. Recently, I sat down with my friend Nick Rich, a designer and creative strategist whose work you’ve probably seen—even if you didn’t know his name.
He’s the mind behind campaigns for Eric Thomas (@EtTheHipHopPreacher), Wallo, and countless others, and spent almost two decades building a career as a full-time creative.
You Got a Camera, Bro?
Before all the clients, tours, websites, and brand work, Nick was a producer. He spent a decade making beats, running a studio in his basement, chasing the sound of his idols. Music was the plan. Graphic design wasn’t even a thought.
But one day, an artist came to record and noticed Nick’s camera. “You got a camera… so can you do my artwork?” Nick didn’t know Photoshop. Didn’t know layout. Didn’t know design. But he said yes.
He took the picture, opened Microsoft Paint, added text, and delivered the cover.
That tiny request became the crack in the door that would eventually become his whole career. And that’s the theme of this week’s Remarkable Monday.
I Say All This to Say
Breakthroughs rarely announce themselves. They come disguised as a favor. A question. A simple Ask.
You never know which one has the potential to reroute your life.
This week, stay open to the small invitations, the ones that look insignificant, inconvenient, or beneath your skill level. Why? Because you might be just one “Can you help me with this?” away from your next chapter.
Until next time,
