Welcome to Remarkable Monday. This is our corner of the internet where we get the inspiration and insights to crush our content goals for the week ahead. Make yourself at home and feel free to hit reply if you want to get in contact with me, your host. I’m Mark Patterson, and my hope for you this week is that you make it remarkable!

I’m still amazed

Writing this newsletter for 121 consecutive weeks has — at least partially — cured me of novelty seeking. You know the trait: the relentless pull toward the next shiny thing, the next idea, the next fresh start. I still feel that pull. But something about showing up here, for you, every single Monday without missing one — it has trained a muscle I didn't know I needed.

I'm still a little amazed we made it this far.

Today, I'm flipping the mic

One hundred and twenty-one editions. That's a lot of words from me — a lot of frameworks, stories, and Monday morning fuel coming in one direction.
But here's what I've been sitting with lately: the best communicators aren't just good at talking. They're disciplined listeners. And if I'm being honest with myself, I haven't done enough of that with you.

Last week, we talked about the Stockdale Paradox — the discipline of holding unwavering conviction alongside unsparing honesty about where you actually are. You can read that one here: Two Things You Must Hold at the Same Time. The core of it was this:

You can't honestly assess your reality if you're not willing to look at it clearly.

Well, you are part of my reality. And I haven't looked clearly enough in your direction. That ends today.

I have some questions for you

No form. No survey link. Just hit reply and talk to me — voice text works too if you don't have time to type. Answer one question or answer all four. I read every reply personally.

Here's what I genuinely want to know:

#1: How can this newsletter best serve you? We're 121 weeks in and I want to make sure what lands in your inbox on Monday mornings is actually moving the needle for you — not just filling your inbox.

#2: What have I written about that you've found most valuable? If something stuck with you — a framework, a story, a line — I want to know. That's the stuff I need to do more of.

#3: What topics or ideas would you love to see covered? What's on your mind that you haven't seen addressed here yet?

#4: Is there a guest writer or interview subject you'd find genuinely helpful? Someone whose perspective or experience would make you stop scrolling and pay attention — who is that person?

Before you answer any of that — just hear this

I don't take it for granted that you open this. Not once. There are a thousand things competing for your attention every Monday morning, and you choose to spend a few minutes here. That means something to me that I don't have a good enough word for.
121 weeks. You showed up too. Thank you for that. Sincerely.

Now — hit reply. I'm listening.
